52 Weeks Of Color Challenge ~ Week 7!

Here we are, halfway through February already in the year 2012. It seems so weird to think about that in respect of the bigger picture, how far I have come and yet how far I have still to go in this amazingly expansive world of ours. I'm a little late on this week's edition of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, but I haven't allowed myself to get even a full week behind so I am still doing pretty well in the grand scheme of things. I hope everyone had a fantastic St. Valentines Day whether you participate and celebrate it or not, and I wish the best of the rest of the week to you all. 

This week's color hue was a little bit difficult for me because when I looked and looked and looked again at the swatch, I was a little puzzled on just how to the pink tone was to present itself. The tone is called Folly, and I studied it for quite a bit of time trying to decide if it was pink mixed with red or pink mixed with orange or maybe even pink mixed with something in the peach family. I knew for sure that I wanted to use the brand new group gift from Mynerva (I know, I posted a blog about a new one in my last post, but there's ANOTHER one!) because it is so smooth and pretty and it comes with these super cute white dots on the cheeks. It's a preview for a skin that is going to be released called Milena and while the group gift only comes in the Cream tone, I am sure if you keep your eyes peeled for the full release there will be a shade that you fall in love with. Rhapzody was SUPER generous with this gift and included handfuls of tattoo layers for the different makeup options so you don't have to settle for using the whole face of makeup if it's not your style. If you haven't already, go now to Mynerva and pick up this group gift, it's so girly and exciting to play with! For my color pieces of the week I finally went down to RezIpsa Loc (I am really loving her store by the way, the stuff is always so cute and well detailed!) to get some things made especially for the color challenge and chose a couple things that I already had in my inventory to pair those elements with. The result was a pretty fun and sweet outfit that I hope you all enjoy as much as I did putting it together! :)
